The ASID Industry Partners program is dedicated to providing a forum that unites the professional designer with the interior furnishings industry, supplying services and manufactured products integral to the successful practice of interior design. Both interior designers and industry representatives share mutual concerns, common goals and financial interdependence. Together they work to improve products and services, business practices, design education and inter-communication.
In addition, ASID Industry Partners seek to raise the professional level of the interior design practice through participation and support of research, educational programs and like activities. Through this interaction with ASID professionals, the potential exists for ASID Industry Partners to expand their knowledge of the practice of interior design and increase their share of the marketplace.

Industry Partner Membership Criteria
- Candidates for membership in ASID Industry Partners should be those organizations that share mutual concerns, common goals and financial interdependence with the interior design community. They also should work to improve products and services, business practices, design education and intercommunication.
- There are three ASID Industry Partners membership categories:
- Supply: Included in this sector are firms which supply raw material or products which eventually reach the interior furnishings industry in their finished state and those that supply equipment or products either directly or indirectly to the interior design community. Firms in this category market such equipment or products to or through the interior design community on a clearly established wholesale basis. Products marketed to the public must be on a retail basis.
- Service: Composed solely of firms providing services for the interior design community. (If a firm such as a cabinetmaker or custom upholstery shop provides both product and a service, it is considered a "Supply" applicant.) Included in the service category are such firms as professional dry cleaners, installers, delivery services, photographers, etc.
- Liaison: This category includes trade organizations, trade publications, professional associations, market centers, etc. In this category, only employees of these organizations, not the organizations themselves, may become ASID Industry Partners members.
- Industry Partners member firms may add full-time employees or representatives acting solely on their behalf as Additional Representatives for an additional fee for each membership. those representing more than one firm are not eligible for Additional Representative membership status; they must apply for their own corporate membership.
