Testimonials from the first ASID Design Awards of Excellence Gala,
2007 |
| |
| |
A standing ovation! You did a classic job and
have inspired a fabulous event! I look forward to next years, too!
Monica Webster
As you may or may not know, I'm originally from NY - specifically
'Lawng' Island. In addition, I'm from a long line of demanding,
overbearing jewish decendants. I am well aware that I have an
unfair reputation of being a bit ornery and tough to please - I'm
actually a cheerful pussycat - meow. Having said all that,
genetically speaking, this doesn't come easy: I was dazzled by the
ASID Holiday Gala Party. BRAVO and thanks - to you and all those
that helped pull it together. Rick "El Excelente" Lowenthal
We are proud to have been recognized for our work at Yale
University from a discriminating jury of our peers. I was unable
to attend the gala. Arch Currie and his wife Rita were there
representing Herbert S Newman and Partners and shared with me that
the event was great. I hope to have a few more submissions next
year that will afford me the opportunity to participate. I have
noted on more than one occasion that the Interior Design
professionals, compared to architects, truly know how to throw a
party. Keep up the great work. Peter Newman
I am still pinching myself to make sure it really happened. And
what a terrific event for ASID...I am mighty impressed with Robin
and her committee and with this year's Board. Thanks for all your
hard work. Happy Holidays to you, and thanks again. Terry
Scarborough
Last night was a huge success thanks to you and we both had a
great time. We had such a great time that we left much later than
we thought.
Alix Perrachon
I just wanted to say congratulations, again, for an elegant and
exceptional evening. You really kicked it up several notches with
this gala. Your hard work and dedication really paid off and sets
the stage for this event, for many years to come, if my opinion
matters. Thanks for your continued dedication to our chapter.
Thanks to all who helped make this a special celebration,
especially to Elliot and Scott. A wonderful time was had by all.
Sara Hopkins
You should be so proud of yourself. Not only was this the best
ASID event I have ever been to, but it was the best organized, and
executed event of any kind of which I have attended. Everything
was done so well, there were absolutely no hitches at all. I heard
no complaints from anyone, it was obvious that everyone was having
a good. You looked beautiful and elegant, and you spoke so well,
it was a high class evening. We were all so proud of you.
Warren Fleming
What a wonderful job you have done putting together such a great
event! WOW, you must be exhausted! Thanks for having us, Matt
Kolk & Shelley McCormick, FFCH Magazine
Thank you!!!! for giving me the opportunity to work on this
fabulous event...It was a lot of work, but the end result was
surely worth the effort.... Robin, the evening couldn't have been
more perfect.. Danna DiElsi
Was an exceedingly well organized event, you took a corporate
facility added a splash of design and a star studded entrance. All
the winners projects were beautiful.
Michael Idarecis
Last night was a ten! What a success! You did a fabulous job and
the result was a professional presentation and party! Thanks so
much from us and all of ASID for all your talented efforts.
Cathy Glass
You are a winner!! kudos for one of the best events in our
chapter's history. Your commitment made it all possible!!
Elaine Koufman, FASID
The event was one of the nicest I have been to. Thanks for letting
me be a part of it. Donna Kirby, FASID
To the event planner extraordinaire: we cant thank you enough for
all the hard work that went in to making the Awards Gala such a
fantastic success. You and your committee have made ASID Ct.
shine. On a personal level, I kept waiting all day to wake up from
this happy dreamI guess it really is true that I won! I still
cant believe it! I heard so many positive comments about the
Galaeveryone had a simply marvelous time and went away feeling so
good about ASID Ct. Youve made us all proud. My warmest congrats
to you and your committee.
Terry Scarborough
What a wonderful event! Every detail was well attended to and
everyone remarked that the evening was top notch. Kudos to you and
your vision. Please extend my regards to Scott - he always replied
to our questions promptly & never seemed frazzled by the quantity
of work that he had. Thank you for including me in the committee
list. I am truly grateful to have worked with Steve and Cyndy and
we have formed a bond that will carry throughout the years. This
statement can be also applied to ASID as a whole. What a
dedicated, professional, hard working group of people and what a
tremendous opportunity for the winners to be recognized w/in the
community. Betsy McGuire, ASID
Ditto to Betsys eloquent comments! You did an amazing job and it
was entirely my pleasure to work with you all on this fantastic
project!! Kindest regards, Cynthia Byrnes
WOW! What a great night. Phil was impressed this event has set the
standards very high for any future ASID event he may attend.
Everything came together like clockwork. You did an amazing job. I
know Scott, Kristin and Elliot have all sighed with relief that it
is over ...all of their hard work really paid off. Now every one
can relax and enjoy the holidays! Well Done!!!

There was a Live Band, Wonderful Food, Paparrazzis, and more.
It was a wonderful Holiday Extravaganza and an event just like the
Oscars!
