ASID – Where Design Comes to Life
ASID is a community of people committed to interior design. We understand that design is more than a job. It’s a way of relating to the world. We seek to support, foster, promote and advance the many ways that design and designers enhance the quality of life for all of us.
Professional members of ASID must pass rigorous acceptance standards: they must have a combination of accredited design education and/or full-time work experience and pass a two-day accreditation examination administered by the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ).
The ASID appellation is widely recognized as a mark of design excellence and professionalism. Members are qualified by education, experience and examination, and adhere to a strict code of ethics and professional conduct.
ASID is the leading provider of education for design practitioners. ASID members receive the most current information on developments in design, as well as appropriate materials, technology, building codes, government regulations, flammability standards, sustainable and green design, product performance, design psychology, occupant populations, and more. Armed with this knowledge, ASID designers create engaging and functional spaces to meet client needs, while protecting the health, safety and welfare of people in interior invironments.
