| MaryAnn Howell, ASID President MaryAnn Howell considers it an Honor to be Connecticut 2007-2008 ASID President. After 44 years in the Interior Design business I'm pleased to give back to the profession I'm so proud of. Her primary goals are to enhance ASID designer’s professional status through support of ASID brand recognition, to create opportunities for ASID Connecticut to interface with the consumer and raise awareness of the profession of Interior Design. She has a dedication to our students as they are our future. Howell believes in involving each member to help make our chapter grow, have fun and have a sense of accomplishment in the end. You can run but you can't hide. She implemented the ASID newsletter circa 1990. She served as chairperson of the newsletter and subsequently started the member address directory bringing in advertisers to supplement the costs. She held those positions for three years. Her work for the past thirty years as a designer includes residential and commercial work both nationally and internationally.
