POTENTIAL PARTICIPANTS
After the huge success of last year’s event, the
ASID Connecticut Chapter is having their second annual Design
Competition to find the industry’s best ideas that have come to life
in the most outstanding of ways by honoring the best projects
produced in the creative community in the last year. Prior to
the event, from the myriad of entries, the winners will be chosen by
a team of jurors, from a sister chapter of the ASID
organization. However, these award winners will be held under tight
wraps and will not be announced until the red-carpet awards ceremony
on the evening of the annual ASID Black Tie Gala on Saturday, December
13, 2008.
The winners of this competition, one from each category, will receive
not only a personalized, framed certificate of excellence but also a
crystal statue engraved with this special event logo, (created by NYC
event design specialist, Elliot Joel Stern). And, in addition, the
winners will have the possibility of a feature on their work in
prestigious design/shelter publications.
This competition is based solely on talent and allows any interior
design professional, decorator, architect or student* to enter the
contest. Whether they are —new or experienced—from any firm—large or
small— from any category—commercial, residential or student—will
have an equal opportunity to shine, be recognized by their
peers, gain
credibility, be exposed to the media and to showcase their talent.
